SOCIAL GOOD BLOG
A social good is something that benefits the largest number of people in the largest possible way, such as clean air, clean water, healthcare, and literacy. Also known as "common good," social good can trace its history to Ancient Greek philosophers and implies a positive impact on individuals or society in general.
How To Promote Social Good Through Social Media
Robert & Julia Connors
Social good is something that benefits the largest number of people in the largest possible way, such as clean air, clean water, healthcare, and literacy. I like to think of social good as "global good". It is not just about the developing world, although that too benefits from social good. Global good is much larger than the developing world, it is about the entire globe.
There are three steps to achieving social good through social media.
1 - Think global, act local
When you think global, act locally. When you act local, you will make a much bigger impact. There are many groups online that can help you promote social good in your area or community. Just search for groups based in your state or your city and start a group. Not only will you increase the population's awareness of social good (there are many groups just waiting to be created), but you are also creating a social good hub in your city that will be a hub for people from all over the country and around the globe looking for a community to belong to. Once a group is created it doesn't go away - it grows and grows and the more people involved, the more social good you are able to create.
2 - Listen to those you are connected to
One of the most important ways to make a difference in the world is by listening! Whether you are on social media, in a chat room, or just talking to someone face to face, always listen more than you talk. That is not only good etiquette, it also shows true friends and lovers of the good things of life that you care about their opinions and thoughts. In return, they will respect you more.
3 - Do what you say!
If you say you are going to do something and you don't do it, you won't have any credibility to say you are a good person. Always say yes to the things you are willing to do, and then go do them! Don't delay or try to find excuses not to do something - say out loud what you will do and do it! If you show how compassionate and thoughtful you are, others will respect you more and want to be your friend. And if you are a member of a chat group that promotes or teaches a global good, always post pictures and videos of your participation - people around the world will know you are a person of global good.
How to Impact People Like You

Social good is something that benefits the largest number of people in the largest possible way, such as clean air, clean water, healthcare, and literacy. It's also the one area of life where we can really make a difference to the people around us and thereby change the world for the better. The trick though, is to do social good in a methodical way, so that you can help as many people as possible and have as much effect as possible in the shortest amount of time.
To do social good in a methodical way, you have to first understand the social impact. This takes time. It's a whole other subject and I suggest you research it if you want more in-depth information on this subject. But here are a few ways to use math to help you benefit everyone, even if you can't pinpoint how many they are yet.
Start with your family. How could knowing that your kids are loved and are getting a great education help your life? How could know that your family is safe to help your life? How could know that your home is kept clean and tidy help your life? How could know that your credit is intact help your life? How could know that your finances are healthy and secure help your life? How could knowing that you have a loving relationship could help your life? All of these things, and more, can be figured out when you know how your actions can impact others. So let's use math to figure out how you can impact others. What can you do to make a household healthy, tidy, and safe? What can you do to make a household a place people feel welcomed and comfortable? What can you do to make a home a place people want to stay in?
Now let's look at your life: What can you do to make your family healthy and strong? What can you do to make your home a place people want to spend the rest of their lives? What can you do to make your credit healthy and solid? What can you do to make your wallet solid? What can you do to make your finances healthy? What can you do with your money to give back to the world that is giving back to you? What can you do with your life that will make a lasting difference?
When you start doing this, you will get used to the real meaning behind the numbers. Then you can take it a step further:
Step 2: Identify the impact you can make on an area of life.
How can knowing you have touched someone's life help you to live your life better? It's when you use number one, that you will actually make a huge difference in their life. It's when you use number two. That you start to actually make a difference in the world.
Class 1 - The Class Which Has Issues
Robert & Julia Connors
Social good is something that benefits the largest number of people in the largest possible way, such as clean air, clean water, healthcare, and literacy. The reason social good is so important is that it affects everyone in the local community. A clean environment not only benefits the people living in the polluted areas but also makes it easier for people to move and find a new home. For example, the air quality index in Chennai is very poor and pollution can make it hard for someone to find a place to live outside the city. As such, when the air quality improves, then vacancies in the surrounding areas open up. Similarly, when literacy level improves, people can easily get a new job or change professions. This is because jobs that don't require literacy skills will become available.
However, the reason why social good is so important is that it doesn't only affect the people living in a given community; it can affect the people working in the local government area and the people who travel to and from the city to access healthcare. This means that not only do governments have to fight for health coverage in the community; they now have to fight for people to travel to the city and access healthcare. This would be very difficult if people didn't have the right to travel.
This is because social good also impacts non-community members. For example, if one person commits suicide due to lack of healthcare and healthcare access is limited in the community and the other people have access to healthcare. If one person committing suicide would cause an outrage in the community it would make people angry and the community would be divided.
Similarly, if there is poor healthcare for children and they are not given an education. It wouldn't make sense to all the parents who have a child attending education that is not in the community to travel to the city or for those parents and their children to travel to the city. This is because the health issue would be seen as an outrage and an affront to those children and to the entire community.
In a similar way for people who commit suicide due to social issues; if there is a lack of basic necessities people would be angry that a person is committing suicide. Similarly, if those people committed suicide due to the community being divided, it would make people angry. People would be divided due to social issues and would have major issues with the whole situation. However, it is impossible for both these situations to exist in a country because there is no country.
The situation is very similar for people who are poor and have no education and people who are rich and have an education. The situation is the same. However, the problem is not the same. The problem is anger and frustration; people who have good health and the opportunity to work for a company, are in a better position than those who can't even read and write. So in a nation, the problem is more about anger and frustration, people, who are deprived of good health and education, are living with minimal life force than those who are wealthy, have an education, and the opportunity to work. The problem is not the same.
"The problem can be stated simply as one of injustice: no person should be denied the opportunity to achieve their full potential, but that doesn't mean it doesn't go deeper. It means no person should be denied the opportunity to live their life in the manner that best suits their temperament. But that doesn't mean that they should be denied their freedom. The problem is not the same.
The problem is not the same for two people. There are two distinct classes of people. The first is the class of people who have no issues living off of crumbs and the second is the class of people who have every opportunity to live life in the fullest manner and yet they choose not to. There are two classes of people in a nation. In a class of people who do have issues the problems are divided into two categories: Class 1 are problems that can be solved by simple solutions and solutions which require hard work and class 2 are problems that can not be solved by solutions class 1 but require class 2. Class 1 has no issues and class 2 has every issue. But for class 1 there is always someone to help solve their problems. Class 2 has no issues and class 1 has every issue. But for class 2 there is no one to turn, to solve their problems on their own.
"We are told that we need to be concerned with class 2 issues. But they are only solutions to problems that could not be solved by class 1.
"In a nation, there are two classes of people. Class 1 is the class that has issues and class 2 is the class that has solutions. Class 1 can always be helped. Class 2 can not.
But, class 2 is willing to and class 1 is not.
The only class 1 who is willing to help class 2 and 2 is the Messiah, Jesus Christ".
